Recommended Supplies

Ivey Ranch Student Supply Recommendations

Please see below for our recommendations of items to help your child prepare for a successful school year.  Should your family have difficulty securing any of these items, please contact your teacher and our staff is happy to provide assistance.

If your child learns in a specialized setting, their teacher will be in touch to inform you of what might be useful when helping your child meet their individualized education plans.

Any class-specific requests for materials will be communicated by your child’s teacher during the first week of school.

 Kindergarten

Grade 1

  • Headphones - Please label with your child's name
  • 1/2 inch white hard cover binder with inside pockets in front and back - Please label with your child's name
  • 6-12 Elmer's glue sticks
  • 12 Ticonderoga #2 pencils
  • 12 or 24 pack Twistables (crayons) - Please label with your child's name
  • 2 THIN black EXPO dry erase markers
  • 1 spiral notebook or composition notebook (for at home use)
  • 1 box of tissues - the softer the better
  • One ream of white copy paper

Grade 2

   *many supplies will be communal and personal pencil sharpeners are not permitted

  • 1 sturdy set of Headphones (not earbuds), they will need these to last the school year and will be returned at the end of the year. Essential for testing purposes.
  • 1 pack Sharpened Ticonderoga #2 Pencils
  • 2 pack Large pink eraser

  • 1 USB mouse (if possible, for Chromebooks )
  • 1 watercolor set (if possible)
  • *** NO MECHANICAL PENCILS OR PENCIL SHARPENERS!

Supplies needed:

  • Expo Markers (a 2-pack regular, a 2-pack skinny)
  • 1-2 Pencils, Erasers (no mechanical pencils)
  • 2-3 highlighter(s) (different colors)
  • 1 Ream white copy paper
  • 1 plastic pocket folder (paper ones will not last)
  • 2 single subject spiral notebooks  (wide ruled lines, not college rule)
  • Small package of colored pencils
  • Box of 24 Crayola crayons
  • 2 Small packages of crayola markers (one regular, one thin)
  • 2 Black Sharpies (1 fine point, 1 regular)
  • 1 Glue stick
  • 1 Container Clorox wipes
 

Wishlist Items:

Any colored copy paper, watercolor art paper, any fun little things for the class prize box (new or gently loved), large and regular popsicle sticks, gift card to Amazon or Walmart for special classroom supplies.

 

Please do NOT send:

Binders, battery powered pencil sharpeners or ones with no lid, mechanical pencils, staplers, or stickers.



 

Ms. Hillhouse-Shokes Supply List

 

We have a community classroom and share our supplies. I already have a lot. Your child will only need the following supplies for them personally:

Backpack

  • Lunch box
  • Water bottle
  • Two Composition notebook (wide-ruled)
  • Three 2-pocket folders with tabs for holding sheet protectors
  • Head-phones or earbuds to keep at school
 

Classroom supplies to donate:

  • Reams of white copy paper
  • Big pink erasers (not pencil toppers)
  • New or gently loved items for our treasure box
  • Gift card to Amazon or Walmart for other classroom supplies we might need
  • Baby wipes for cleaning up (not the disinfecting kind)

Grade 4

Necessary Items:
*1 package of #2 pencils (please, no mechanical)

*1 pencil sharpener (with cap or lid)

Due to limited desk space please stick to items that are only on the list.

You can keep any extras at home to replenish throughout the year.
